The new 20 ATMOS Ferrovia has just gotten a modern upgrade with vintage-inspired "rail" dial configuration seen on dive watches taken out of Squale's history books.

The highlight of Squale 20 ATMOS Ferrovia is probably the iconic dial design synonymous with dive watches of the 70s. An inspirational design that brings back nostalgia. What differentiates the 20 ATMOS Ferrovia from the other 20 ATMOS is the minute track at the periphery that flange the hour plots. The 20 ATMOS Ferrovia, as the moniker suggests, has elongated minute markers like "railroad track" that extends out. It goes along with the painted vintage hour plots in the caramel tone luminous index to give it a more balanced look. Furthermore, the dial layout is complemented by Squale's signature handset that is in broad pencil shape, with minute hand done in bright orange for excellent readability when minutes reading becomes primary during diving. That said, all the sides and hour markers are executed in Super-LumiNova for legibility timekeeping under all conditions.

The Squale 20 ATMOS Ferrovia is powered by Swiss automatic movement- ETA2824-2/SW200, operating at 28,800 bph (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 25/26 jewels with a power reserve of 40 hours.

Engraved Ceramic Bezel Insert with filled white enamel

The 200m water resistant stainless steel case measure 40mm case without the crown has a lug to lug length of 48mm, and a thickness of about 13mm, with a lug width of 20mm. The short curved-down lugs mean that the watch sits nicely on all wrist sizes. The crown system has improved with deeper grooves on the crown for a better grip and even more substantial screw thread for a more positive screw-down action.

The bezel has deep polished grooves machined into it for a good grip. It rotates smoothly into 120 positions in a counter-clockwise direction. Further refinement on its case, a mixture of satin brush on the top surfaces and polishing on the sides, can be seen throughout the watch, including the bracelet.

Quality Hand finished in Switzerland

The ceramic bezel is first to cut into shape, and then the numbers are carefully engraved by machines made, especially for this purpose. Next, the engraved ceramic bezel is superheated to 1500 degrees to harden and purify the ceramic. The engraved numerals on the hardened bezel are then carefully filled with white enamel. The excess on the surface of the bezel is then polished to a high gloss leaving only the numerals filled permanently. Virtually indestructible and impervious to scratches, the ceramic bezel will last for years to come since this new variant exhibits vintage styling, the luminous pip did in roasted caramel tone that matches its dial.

The 20 ATMOS 1545 comes with a domed sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal is also coated with anti-reflective on the inside for better clarity.

The Squale 20 ATMOS comes with a metal bracelet with solid end-links and screw-in links. It also has a diver extension for those who want to bring it for some adventure.
