Retro multi-faceted applied index |
The execution guarantees that the component is warm to the touch while guaranteeing excellent bezel legibility, thanks to the transparency. Like the model that inspired it, the bezel can always be unscrewed from above. An ingenious locking bezel system requires the user to push down on the bezel for operation, a vital tool for saturation divers that utilizes the bezel for underwater timing purposes.
Diving into the dial, the 101 ATMOS Orange/Black showcases a sombre black dial paired with multi-faceted applied indexes that exert attention to detail when viewing the piece up close. The indexes' edges are filled with Superluminova lume that glows a luscious green in dark lighting conditions. The minute hand is painted bright and vibrant orange, adding a pop of color to the dial while making the dial incredibly easy to read. Protecting the dial is a flat piece of 3.5mm thick sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating fitted with double gaskets to ensure impeccable water resistance.

Integrated Automatic Helium Valve Escapement |
The new case back is now done in PVD as well to keep the entire black theme. Now it's fully engraved with an updated interpretation of the classic wave design and, of course, Squale's logo. For many years the Squale logo has been a mark of quality—all painstakingly designed details, crafted to make a product that keeps faith with the Squale brand philosophy. The 101 ATMOS's discreet elegance is combined with reliability, provided, for example, by the Swedish steel used.
The Squale 101 ATMOS is also the coolest in Squale's history to be made in matte black through and through. Moreover, the non-reflective case finishing is meant to be used in tactical situations. Being one of the pioneers of 1000m dive watches, the Squale 101 ATMOS Blue/Red features a remarkable water resistance of 1000m for deep saturation diving endeavors. The addition of a helium escapement valve (HEV) at the 9 o'clock position protects the watch from damage during prolonged use in the deep depths of the ocean.
