The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Kabuki Automatic Power Reserve SARW063 is an exquisite timepiece inspired by Kabuki, the 17th-century Japanese theatre during the Edo period. Following the design ethos of the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged series, the Kabuki Automatic Power Reserve SARW063 references the colours, textures, and patterns of nature. The elements of nature are represented in the classic Japanese hemp leaf pattern (Asanoha). At the same time, its contrasting colours of Kakiiro (a deep red-brown colour often used in Kabuki costumes) and gold are reminiscent of the conservative Edo period. This exclusive watch is limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide.

The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Kabuki Automatic Power Reserve SARW063 retains the collection's iconic characteristics, such as the sharp case lines, narrow bezel, blend of brushed and polished surfaces, and use of sapphire crystal with inner AR coating. While also boasting Seiko's classic power reserve and calendar display. With the addition of three sub-dials, this charming timepiece has a lug-to-lug measurement of 47.4mm and a 40mm stainless steel case that is 12mm thick. Coated with a hard black coating, a seamless flow is created from the case to the black leather strap, highlighting its elegance.

Intricate finishing on the multi faceted case

The dial holds three subdials against the artfully executed Asanoha hemp leaf pattern in Kakiiro. Specifically, a weekday indication at 3 o'clock, a date by hand at 6 o'clock, and the power gauge at 9 o'clock. The boldly contrasting dial colours is set with complications, golden markers applied all around and a gradient outwards to a darker periphery. It almost feels like a spotlight on the centre stage, where the golden sword-like hands and subdials perform.

The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Kabuki Automatic Power Reserve SARW063 runs on the automatic calibre 6R321 with 29 jewels, a 4Hz frequency, and a 45-hour power reserve. Watch it strut its moves from the transparent case back, which provides 100m water resistance.
